CSS List Navbar: Editable Text

Not all rollover effects require making unique button images for each and every item. That’s time consuming and doesn’t allow you (or your clients) to make changes as quickly. With CSS you can take ordinary HTML text and use background images to make it look interesting. You’ll turn HTML lists into navbars, like the example above. Navbars essentially are a list of pages in the site, so it makes sense to start with an HTML list, then change the appearance using CSS. This makes for a flexible navbar that can be changed between a vertical or horizontal format.
